best poker chip set up I'm looking to buy a home poker chip set and not sure what to go with.
I'd also prefer the chips without a dollar value on them, as we may best poker chip set up up chip values quite often depending on the company sorry, beste casino app iphone where playing with.
Though this isn't a deal breaker Thanks in advance.
Those chips you linked have been used at my home games for over 10 years with no major problems.
I have the same set.
They're fine and work for me.
One downside is that they are very common and if you are planning on hosting strangers it wouldn't be difficult for one of them to sneak in some chips.
PCF is a helpful group of folks and a good resource.
Dice chips will work for the average home game but I think a nice set of chips really steps up the feel of the game.
The nexgen chips someone mentioned are a step up from dice chips, but I would personally save up and wait until you can afford some decent china clay chips or a set of ceramics, depending on which look and feel you prefer.
I suggest either a set of Majestics, Dunes, Pharaohs, or Milanos for a mid range set of china clays.
These range in price from.
best bitcoin wallet for online gambling recommend you pick up some sample sets if you are going down this road before you invest in a full set.
It also matters what kind of game you are playing.
If nothing else, I highly suggest you find some chips with denominations that match the stakes your playing.
I run a monthly game and find that it goes much more smoothly when my players aren't forgetting what each chip is worth every other hand because it says what they are on the chip.
Even if they are cheap slugged plastic dice chipsfind some with denominations.
Nice set of Dunes china clay in the classified of PCF.
I saw those today.
Dune's are probably actually my favorite CC of the bunch, but I found a deal on Majestic's early on and am too heavily invested into those to switch it up at this point : I have a set of the Championship Poker Series china clay tourney set and a custom CPC ASM set.
There are all these great sets getting learn more here on PCF like the Tanjer's ceramic hybrids, then the Chip Room is selling their casino Paulsons, I really don't need more chips but it's hard to resist.
I'm in for 600 on the OWPS Sunfly hybrid buy - going with the Mayfair Suit option though.
I agree, it's certainly easy to get addicted.
After that, my chip budget is going dry for awhile.
Thanks for all the info!!
Out of all the different chips you've sent I really like those Majestics.
If my friends end up playing enough I think I'll defiantly upgrade to those.
I'll link them in mind for next time defiantly.
Yeah, that's totally reasonable.
My group played with a large set of Dice Chips for years without really caring.
It really depends on how much you play and how much best poker chip set up want to invest.
I would say that the majority of the general population has only really played with Dice Chips, so they don't know what they're missing ; I happened to stumble upon PCF a few months ago and that was game over for me.
I click never go back to playing with Dice Chips if I have the choice.
Then again, some folks just don't care and that's fine as well.
I have a few spare samples of Majestic and Milano chips I can send your way for the cost of shipping if you're interested just shoot me a PM.
I can tell just by the look that the Majestics and chips like it are worth the extra cash for their quality but for now I think I'll start off with the beginner set.
I think mostly small cash games with some buddies.
My plan is if we get into playing regularly I'll keep the playing cards, BB, SB, and dealer button from the cheaper set and go ahead and pick up the Majestics Really like their design.
No that's ok but I really appreciate it.
How much of each chip should I get.
How many players maximum do you think?
I would say between 4-6 players.
It looks like good quality chips and case for the money.
I like to plan for at least 3 buy ins per player.
The deal is decent, if they are brand new chips.
If used I would look for something more around.
You can find used Majestics for.
The main problem with Milanos for you is that there are no 5c denominations available unless you want to relabel.
Also they are a nice chip but IMO they have a much cheaper feel to them than the Majestics or Dunes china clay.
I haven't played with Pharoahs so I can't speak to those.
Both Majestics and Pharoahs have stock 5c chips available.
Personally I wouldn't use a 50c chip, as id rather just have more 25c chips.
My advice to you is to play with the chips you have for now until you settle into a good routine game and can settle on what stakes fit well for your group.
Typically you are going to want to set the blinds and make the but in somewhere between read more big blinds.
Then save up until you have the funds to spring for a set of Majestic, Dunes, or Pharoah.
If you really love the look of Milanos go with those unless you do need 5c chips.
Again I'd suggest samples to help narrow down which chips you like the best.
BTW, you'll get lots of great feedback from a great community who have a lot more experience than I do if your start an account over on pokerchipforum and start a home cash game advice thread.
I have a really expensive set that are my favorite, but my second favorite are the cheap "super diamond" chips that I had hot stamped.
I use them for board games.
Unfortunately that seller is long gone.
Thats the set we use in my weekly game.
They arent the greatest but they are best online casino and have decent weight to them.
Someone below mentioned SuperDiamond chips.
The biggest poker chip market place is on pokerchipforum.
The classifieds section is where you want to go.
Those shitty chips from discount poker shop are no better than your dice pattern walmart chips.
They just have a gross sticker on them.
Good in the price range your looking at.
This guy has great reviews of chips: I've been collecting poker chips sets, cards, tables best poker chip set up anything poker related for best poker chip set up a decade for home best poker chip set up />When Chris Moneymaker won in 2003, I got bit by the poker bug and needed to have what I saw on TV.
I've had real casino paulson, Bud jones, chipco sets.
They all are great but what I found after having all these sets is, does it get the job done?
Meaning am I able to accommodate for large tourneys and cash games if needed.
The high end sets are nice to have but not necessarily needed.
I'd opt out of the dice sets.
To me its about how well do they stack and if they are easily distinguishable from the other denominations.
The important question you should ask yourself is are you planning on playing more cash or tournaments type games?
If cash you may just want to get a lot best poker chip set up maybe 3 different colors.
If Tournament you may want to consider having enough different denominations for chipping up as the tournament progresses.
Here is a site that may help in your journey to find a nice set within your budget.
Also heres a website that I'm a member of that helped me along the way that you will get tons of home poker tournament information on.
Solid best poker chip set up - tourney vs cash does really matter, and it's more important that you can put together a full set that works for what you need, at your level of comfort expense wise.
Most of the poker chip discussion these days is taking place at PCF pokerchipforum.
I'll check out PCF.
EBay has a lot of them also.
I also second the idea of looking in pawn shops and second hand stores.
You can usually call them and ask before driving to them.
From what I remember when I bought mine clay chips are the best.
Does anyone have the 500 pokerstars chip set that is offered for Starcoins?
I have been strongly considering getting that set but fear for link quality.
They are no different than any other plastic slugged dice chips, except they have a label.
Which I guess brings them up a tiny step, but still junk in comparison to what else is available out there albeit at a more attractive best poker chip set up />I've never played poker before, but I had just bought a new ipad and was looking for some games to play.
I downloaded zynga poker and as it was loading I spilled my drink on it then clumsily knocked the ipad onto the floor.
That was the last I used it, I guess I shoulda article source pre.
